Frequently Asked Questions — Business Storage
Can I have multiple units?
Yes. You can split stock across units or keep archives separate from active inventory, subject to availability. Contact us to discuss a multi-unit arrangement.
Can my employees or colleagues access my unit?
Yes, subject to your storage agreement and our access procedures. You can authorise trusted staff and discuss the most suitable way to manage access with us.
Is my stock insured?
Insurance can be arranged through us, or you can use your own business insurance if your policy covers goods kept in self storage. Cover arranged through us can be increased up to £10,000 for higher-value stock or equipment. Please ensure the level of cover is suitable for the value of the items you are storing.
Can I store vehicles?
Our indoor self-storage units are not intended as general vehicle storage. We offer separate outdoor caravan storage, and you should contact us before bringing any vehicle or fuel-containing equipment to site.
What if my business needs change?
You can request a larger unit if your business grows or a smaller unit if you need less space. Changes are subject to availability and the terms of your agreement.
Can I visit multiple times a day?
Yes. Visits during your permitted access hours are not limited, provided all site and access rules are followed.
What if I need to expand quickly?
We’ll do our best to offer a larger unit, an adjacent unit or multiple units. Availability cannot be guaranteed, so speak to us early about expected growth or seasonal demand.
Do you offer business accounts or long-term discounts?
We can discuss arrangements for multiple units or expected rentals of 12 months or more. Contact us with your requirements so we can explain the options currently available.
How is this different from renting a warehouse?
Self storage gives you flexible space without a traditional commercial lease, separate utilities or the overhead of operating dedicated premises. It is designed for storage only, not as a workplace or trading address.
What happens if I do not pay?
We will contact you and follow the payment, notice and lien procedures set out in your storage agreement and applicable law. Access may be restricted and further recovery action may be taken if an overdue balance is not resolved.
Can I use the space for retail or operate my business from it?
No. Units are for storage only. Customer visits, trading, manufacturing, working from the unit and using it as your registered business premises are not permitted.
